Visusti is a cooperation project by three associations representing artists, photographers and designers in Central Finland.
Woodland exhibition travelling through Central Finland
Metsämaa (Woodland) is an exhibition that will tour in 10 cities in Central Finland during 2020-2021. The artistic expression varies from film to performance, painting to light, sculpture to photography and videos. The 49 artists curated to the tour work in Central Finland and address the theme from all angles.
The tour starts from Kyyjärvi on March 16th and travels to Saarijärvi, Keuruu, Konnevesi, Karstula and Hankasalmi during year 2020. All exhibitions differ in their composition and are curated bearing in mind the different exhibition spaces.
Besides the exhibition, the happenings include guided tours, workshops for children, cinema, dance, and sparring for professional artists.
The exhibition tour is a part of Visusti project that is run by the Centre for Creative Photography in Jyväskylä, Jyväskylä Artists’ Association and Materia ry, association for design and crafts. The tour is realized in co-operation with the Film Center of Central Finland and Central Finland Regional Dance Center. Main funders are Regional Council of Central Finland and the Finnish Cultural Foundation / Central Finland.
